ARCHITECTURE CONCEPT | The House of Fairytales embodies Hans Christian Andersen’s stories through an architectural narrative that blends mystery, discovery, and reflection. The design leads visitors through a series of interconnected spaces, each inspired by the themes and morals of Andersen's works. The architecture emphasizes fluidity, encouraging an immersive exploration of the stories.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN | The garden functions as a natural extension of the museum, using symbolic elements from Andersen’s fairytales to invite exploration and wonder. The design creates engaging, intimate spaces using natural elements such as winding paths, diverse vegetation, and interactive features that immerse visitors in the environment.

SOCIAL INCLUSION | The project emphasizes inclusivity, offering spaces where visitors of all ages can engage with Andersen’s stories. The design encourages community interaction through storytelling areas, playful zones for children, and open spaces for social connection. The integration of cultural heritage ensures that the museum fosters connections across generations.

SPACE DESIGN AND CONVERSION | The museum and garden's design honors both Andersen’s legacy and the contemporary cultural landscape. By incorporating traditional architectural elements with modern aesthetics, the project weaves together historical and narrative continuity. The garden’s landscapes evolve with seasonal changes, mirroring the timeless nature of Andersen's work, creating a living, breathing environment that grows alongside the stories themselves.

This project sets a new standard for how cultural heritage can be woven into the urban context, offering a space where visitors can reconnect with their imaginations while celebrating one of the world’s greatest storytellers
