ARCHITECTURE CONCEPT | The Under the Ground exhibition focuses on sustainable architecture, showcasing innovative design solutions within the challenging context of an aging neoclassical structure, Stirbei Palace. The concept emphasizes the theme of "bringing nature below the surface," inspiring visitors to consider alternative perspectives on greenery and sustainability. This narrative is embedded in the exhibition’s spatial organization, inviting guests to explore the interplay between natural elements and architectural design.
SPACE DESIGN | The interior design for the exhibition transforms the basement of Stirbei Palace into an engaging environment that highlights the potential of subterranean spaces. The layout incorporates flexible display areas that adapt to the various exhibits, facilitating movement and interaction. Utilizing natural materials and lighting, the design creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that contrasts with the damp conditions typically associated with basement environments. This thoughtful design enhances the visitor experience, allowing them to connect with the themes of sustainability and innovation.
ORGANISER | As a pivotal project of A.R.T.A, the organization of the exhibition involved extensive planning and collaboration to create a cohesive and impactful experience. This included engaging emerging architects and designers, providing them a platform to showcase their ideas while fostering dialogue within the architectural community. The A.R.T.A team's dedication to highlighting fresh perspectives on sustainability played a crucial role in transforming the space into a vibrant showcase for creativity and innovation.
